Symbiosis Centre for International Education (SCIE) Office in conjunction with the office of the Symbiosis Society Foundation is inviting applications from foreign Students for the Symbiosis International Scholarship at Symbiosis International University in the 2020/21 session.
The Chancellor of SIU, Dr. S.B. Mujumdar believes that education is the only way of bringing about international peace and understanding. Set up in 1971, ‘Symbiosis’ was created to offer a home away from home for foreign students from Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
Symbiosis is keen to offer scholarships to foreign students to give them the opportunity to take advantage of the educational programs available at Symbiosis. The scholarships are offered preferably in conjunction with the education ministries/embassies of participating countries. Close cooperation with these foreign governments will assist in ensuring that scholarships are awarded to the most deserving candidates.
Worth of Award
The scholarship covers only academic fees (Either 100% / 50% / 25%).
The Scholarship holder must bear all additional costs including application fee, IELA exam fee, administrative fee, travel, housing, food, etc
Eligibility
Applicants must;
- Hold a valid foreign passport.
- Have obtained more than 75% as a qualifying grade in 12th Std. (in case of Undergraduate programs) and 60% as a qualifying grade in Graduation (in case of Postgraduate programs).
- Applicants must have completed their last qualifying exam and should have their results.
- Have appeared for an English Proficiency Test conducted by the British Council (IELTS) with a minimum score of 6 or the IELA Test with a minimum band of 4.
- Fulfill the specific eligibility criteria (if any) of the desired program.

- Click on the ‘Apply for Scholarship’ tab and fill in the required fields and upload all the documents and submit.
- All the applications received by SCIE will be verified and evaluated by a Selection Committee and the shortlisted students will be informed accordingly.
- Incomplete application, as well as the application submitted after the deadline (last date of the online application form), will not be considered for the scholarship.
