Job DescriptionThe Graphic Designer is responsible for layout, design and production of original marketing and advertising creative materials that create a consistent visual identity for Ferris State University marketing and branding strategies as they apply to Extended and International Operations (EIO). These materials target both internal and external audiences, with an emphasis on projects for student recruitment. The Graphic Designer produces press-ready files for print and files for digital mediums. Other 1 (Required): Please attach two representative print pieces and two graphics designed for the internet, both designed by the applicant (for print pieces containing multiple pages, please include cover and one page or spread). A full portfolio will be required of candidates chosen for an interview.
Required EducationA bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, advertising or related field.
Required Work ExperienceAt least three years of professional work experience as a print and digital media designer. Experience working on a MAC with Adobe In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook. Must also demonstrate the ability to work as part of a creative team.
